Why us
Complete restoration. A project guided from start to finish.
We turn your goals into a technical plan, coordinate specialist work and guide your car's restoration from the first assessment to the finished car.
The Widi Automotive team organises the work. We document the work required and the project's progress so you can understand what is happening to your classic.
How we work
An engineering approach. A clear path to completion.
We provide a 6-month warranty on all work we carry out. Larger projects and complete restorations receive a longer warranty under individual terms.
Personalised project planning
We begin every project with a thorough condition assessment. We establish the actual technical condition of the car, then work with you to define your goals, how you want to use it, what motivates the project and the budget you want to work within. We use this to prepare a personalised project plan tailored to your goals and your car.
Complete transparency
Throughout the project, you know exactly what is happening to your car and what you are paying for. You receive regular reports on completed work, time spent, parts and subcontractor costs. We also document progress with photographs and videos. There is no black box: you can see everything happening in your project.
Everything in one place
You bring your vision and requirements; we coordinate the work. We manage our own team and trusted specialist partners, including bodywork, paint and upholstery specialists, as a single project. You do not need to coordinate several specialists and their workflows. We guide the project from the first assessment to the finished car.
Open and honest from the start
Not every car is worth restoring. Its condition, your goals or the available budget may make a project unrealistic. If we see this, we tell you at the beginning. We have no interest in starting a project with you when it is clear that it cannot deliver a sound financial or technical result. Our goal is to help you make an informed decision before significant costs arise.
Condition assessment service
Condition assessment. Clarity for the right decision.
A condition assessment is the first required step before every restoration we undertake. We clarify your goals, examine the car's technical condition and identify the work required. We then prepare cost and time estimates and decide together on the next step.
You can order it as a standalone service. The assessment does not commit you to a restoration. If the planned restoration is not worthwhile given the car's condition, your goals or the available budget, we tell you honestly.
The project steps
From your vision to the finished car
1. Goals and assessment
We learn how you want to use your car and establish its current condition.
2. Planning and a shared decision
We identify the work and prepare cost and time estimates. Together, we agree on a feasible solution.
3. Coordinated restoration
We guide the work, coordinate the specialists and document the work completed.
4. Completion and a finished car
Our team carries out the final assembly and finishing, following the goals agreed together.

What they say about us
Attila, Ford Anglia owner
They were incredibly helpful from the start, clearly explaining what to expect. Their work was precise and meticulous, with great attention to detail. I especially appreciated how they quickly and flexibly resolved the clutch issue under warranty.
Máté, Lancia Fulvia owner
From the very first moment, Attila and his team were incredibly professional and easy to trust. I felt 100% confident in their work — it was clear they knew exactly what needed to be done, they were skilled, and they genuinely enjoyed what they do. Now I have a car that took time to restore, but it’s reliable, enjoyable and perfectly usable even on a daily basis.
Our partners
Who we work with
We work with trusted partners who specialise in their fields and care for classic cars with dedication and attention.
Is Widi Automotive right for you?
Probably yes, if:
- you want to keep your car for the long term;
- a sound technical solution matters more to you than the cheapest repair;
- you want to know what you are paying for;
- you want to use your car as well as own it;
- you value documented, organised project management.
We may not be the right workshop if:
- you are looking solely for the lowest price;
- you want a fixed restoration price without an initial assessment;
- you want to cover visible faults instead of carrying out the necessary technical work.
